Crisis of the separation of powers

The Spanish state is holding people in custody without trial, accusing them of charges that are untenable in other countries and pursuing those who have decided to go into exile to avoid the same fate. Spain suspended Catalonia’s self-rule and forced elections but then prevented the investiture of several presidency candidates.
